LC Power Ltd followed the detailed design drawings provided by the client; the new elements of the substation equipment were correctly positioned within the substation. The external enclosure connections were completed, ensuring that all manufacturers’ tolerances were maintained.
The internal HV & LV connections were completed between the LV panel, the transformer and the HV RMU and the entire system was tested and commissioned.
The existing HV ring circuit required modification to allow for the connection of the new substation to the network. New HV cables were installed on existing containment and in concreted ducts.
LC Power Ltd Provided a site SAP to conduct all switching operations and issue of safety documentation to allow for the installation of the cables within the new switchgear. All testing and commissioning works were then completed and the equipment was energised.
